7 ways to get active

Friday, 27 March 2020

If you’re struggling to find ways and places where you can get active and complete your virtual Memory Walk & Jog, we've got 7 ideas from people who have been getting active over the past few days

  1. A walk around your block
  2. Walk in your backyard
  3. Living room stretches
  4. Take your dog to a local dog park
  5. Trampolining in your backyard
  6. Exercise bike on your balcony
  7. Yoga at home

Let’s show each other what we are doing and how we are getting active to help beat dementia. We'd love to see all of your walks, jogs and runs, so please share your photos and videos on Facebook and Instagram and tag @memorywalkandjog.

Thank you all for stepping up and continuing to support and raise funds for people living with dementia, their families and carers.

Social distancing

Please don’t forget no more than two people (except your immediate household), keeping a 1.5m distance, keep hand sanitisers with you, wear comfortable shoes, keep hydrated and if you need to sneeze or cough please remember to use your elbow and cover your mouth.

Please ensure you follow all government regulations and guidelines. If you need more information or want to know more about social distancing please check the government website to help guide you.
