Share my fundraising effort with your network and let's beat dementia, together.

One Step at a time

One step at a time is what we encourage people to do whom live with Dementia as they struggle to take steps without falling or becoming unsteady and that is what I will be taking on June 2 with my workmates “ one step at a time “ to increase people’s awareness of how debilitating Dementia is to those who live with it and the families who support them . Thankyou to everyone who is behind me and knows this cause is so very close to my heart ❤️

Help me raise money in honour of my Dad, Brian and the 400,000 Australian’s living with dementia.

On Sunday, 2 June, I'm taking part in the Gold Coast's Memory Walk & Jog to raise funds to support Australian's impacted by dementia. This is a cause close to my heart and I would love your support. For those of you who don’t know my Father Brian had Vascular Dementia along with Frontal temporal lobe dementia & Parkinson’s , he was amazing for all that he had going on medically and was an inspiration to me and his Grandson Archie and son-in law Wayne . We saw him battle with losing balance , having what seemed like hundreds of falls and we watched a very active and fit intelligent man deteriorate before our eyes . My Dad had multiple TIA,s ( mini strokes ) but his ability to keep mobile and retain many moments of cognition were inspirational . He suffered from periods of delusions , and mentally struggled with depression which is not uncommon . He also suffered relentlessly also with SCC Skincancers  from his many years out in the sun as a Police Officer .In his younger years my Dad was a Career Police officer giving service to protecting his community for years . He loved sport and motorbikes  and adored our son and his Grandson Archie .

Please make a donation to support my efforts and help us reach our goal to beat dementia.

Not many people know, but dementia is Australia's second-leading cause of death. By 2058 it's expected that over 800,000 Australian's will have dementia. But we can change this.

All money I raise will support the work of Dementia Australia and help provide vital support services like counselling, support groups, education, and research to help find a cure.

Together we can achieve a lot. Your donation would mean the world to me.

Thanks for your support!
